10 Reasons Why Having A Puppy Is So Great

Having a Puppy Can Truly Be One of the Greatest Jobs in Life. They bring so much joy and love and once you have a dog - you'll probably consider it one of the best decisions you have ever made.

Here are 10 Reasons Why Having A Puppy Is So Great

1) Loyal Forever

They say a dog is a man's best friend and there is a reason the saying has withstood the test of time. Dog's always remain loyal which is a true characteristic of a best friend.

2) Reasonably Financially

A lot of things which bring joy are very expensive. Kids for one, can be extremely expensive. Dogs on the other hand are reasonable on the wallet. You can rescue a dog for very cheap or you can get a dog for a breeder in the $500 - $1000 range. Which you are a dog owner, barring any serious health issues - you can be a dog owner and spend roughly $1,000 - $2,000 per year on your dog. And again, may dog owners will tell you that the money they have invested in their dog is the best money that they have ever spent.

3) Doing a Good Thing

Every dog in a home means one less dog in a shelter. Dog owners should realize this as they are truly doing a good thing by giving so much to an animal.

4) Good for your mental health

Many people have said that being a dog owner improves your mental heath because it keeps your mind active on something positive. Coming home everyday to the love of a dog is a great feeling that can improve your overall active.

5) Good for your physical health

Dogs keep you active, which of course can be good for your physical health. Two 30 minute walks a day can help a lot - especially as you get older - can help to keep you on your feet when otherwise you would have done less exercising.

6) Get rid of Rats Mice

One of the scariest house hold experiences involves seeing a mouse in the house. The great thing about dogs is that they will chase down mice and even eat them if they can. When a mouse knows a dog is in the house - they are much less likely to show their faces.

7) Can scare away burglars

When people break into a home, they want it to be quiet so that they don't get caught. Most dogs will bark when an intruder enters a home - this of course can scare away an intruder and cause them to leave right away. So, dogs can in fact protect the home - especially if they are loud barkers.

8) Great social tool for yourself

A dog park can be a great place to meet people. Taking your dog to the local park not only is good for them, but it is good for you as it allows you to socialize and it gives you an easy ice breaker as you can start up a conversation with anyone about their dog.

9) Heat Blanket

One special thing about Dogs is that they have high body heat. There is nothing better than snuggling up on the couch with your dog on a cold evening and having their body heat warm you up.

10) Relaxation

Dogs promote relaxation. If you have a lot going on - and you want to take a break - a dog can be the perfect companion to help you do this because when your dog is asleep on your leg - you often feel at ease.
